RootsTech 2025 Report

This March, Japan Genealogy Connect had the chance to attend RootsTech 2025, the world’s largest genealogy research conference. It was a wonderful opportunity to be part of an event that brings together people from all around the globe, linked by a shared interest in exploring their roots.

We would like to extend our thanks to all those who stopped by our booth. As a company dedicated to helping individuals connect with and understand their Japanese ancestry, it was a pleasure to meet so many people seeking to learn more about their Japanese family history, as well as those interested in how Japanese genealogical research is done.

We hope that visitors were able to gain a greater understanding of the intricacies of family history research in Japan. As those living abroad face many challenges in doing research, such as language barriers and difficulties navigating unfamiliar Japanese procedures, we trust that meeting with us provided new insights that helped make that daunting research more approachable.

Looking ahead, we are pleased to announce that Japan Genealogy Connect will be attending next year’s RootsTech in 2026. We look forward to meeting many more people interested in Japanese genealogical research, and continuing to support growing interest in Japanese family history.
